Some households though still encounter common plumbing issues from time to time. One of the most common plumbing concern in the bathroom is a clogged toilet. Home and gardening website Den Garden has rounded up bathroom problems in most homes and wrote about possible ways to deal with the issue.
“When the toilet bowl fills up and doesn’t drain away, you’ve got a clog. The blockage is normally caused by a mixture of paper and human waste. Clogged toilets can normally be fixed with a plunger. If that doesn’t work then a sewer snake or drain auger can be used to loosen up the blockage.”

Blocked or slow drains
Another plumbing problem usually encountered in home toilet and baths is blocked or slow drain. Home improvement website The Spruce has mentioned this in their online article on bathroom plumbing issues and its corresponding fixes. According to their article, clogged or slow drains are usually caused by hair, soap, and sanitary paper products that may have blocked the drainage system. Plumbing Association of San Diego
“A large degree of drain issues are due to debris and hair lodged in the plumbing. Slow drains can be unclogged by flushing them with hot water or drainage products. Or, you may need to do a little fishing with a drain snake. If this doesn’t fix the problem, you may need to take your pipes apart to get to the offending debris.”

Low water pressure is yet another bathroom plumbing issue that may be experienced by homeowners. Third Party Service Ratings Website Angie’s List says this could possibly be just due to sediment and mineral deposits that might have stuck into where the water flows, but in some instances it could also mean that there is a problem further down into the pipes. They discussed this in one of their write-ups on toilet plumbing concerns.
“Start by making sure the faucet or shower head isn’t clogged – a plastic bag full of vinegar tied over the head or faucet for a few hours will solve this problem – but if that doesn’t improve the pressure, it may be time to call a professional plumber for help. Low water pressure has a number of potential causes including clogs in pipes, damaged water heaters or a burst pipe leaking behind the walls.”
